According to Mikala: The Zion-Canyon Overlook Trail is a great short hike that allows you to view some of the canyon from up high.
Right next to one of the Zion Park tunnels, we started our hike up a flight of rock steps cut into the cliff. We passed along the side of a cliff, over a small bridge and into a large cave that is created by overhanging canyon rock above. It is exciting and a little scary to stand underneath these large creations. As we looked over the edge of the cliff, the canyon below narrowed dramatically.
After a short distance, we reached a large rock area overlook, with magnificent views of some of the canyon and rock walls.
